It has to start somewhere!

DAY ONE

Today, March 1st, began not only our weekend intensive but our rehearsal process! The cast and crew could not have brought better energy to the space, everyone was clearly ready to work. The evening consisted of introductions, physical exercises, discussions, and (of course) mask work. Below are some photos from the evening!

It was so strange today to realize that...this is only day two!! SO much in just two rehearsals! Can't wait for what's to come. I'm really hoping we can develop those rituals we were talking about, like...a rousing game of trees and stumps! Really kept the energy going for me today :)

Who, What, When Where, and Why

Mask, Movement, and Mayhem was a production rehearsed and produced by The Department of Theatre and Dance of Bucknell University. Directed by guest artist Kali Quinn of Brown University, the cast was an ensemble of 18 student actors assisted by a 5 student stage management and assistant directing team and the professional designers of the department. The piece itself was devised by the cast and crew from the ground up, meaning no script, character list, design, or plot existed before the rehearsal process! The result of this devised process was performed April 12-15, 2013 in the Harvey Powers Theatre at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
